Alignment Healthcare USA, LLC, including its subsidiaries and affiliates, such as Alignment Health Plan (collectively, “Alignment”, “we,” “us,” or “our”), owns and operates certain messaging systems with links or references to these SMS Terms and Conditions (collectively, the “Messaging System”) that Alignment may use from time to time to communicate with you about its products and services. To the extent applicable, these SMS Terms and Conditions incorporate by reference the Alignment Healthcare – Privacy Policy and Alignment Healthcare – Terms of Use.

Alignment Healthcare USA, LLC, reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

  • Terms of Service

    These terms and conditions apply to anyone with whom Alignment communicates via text message. You may agree to receive such messages by giving your telephone number as part of an application or other form. Text messaging may include one-time or recurring texts and may relate to the following:

    Health Plan and Wellness Notifications (242872) – Subscribers can sign up to receive health plan and wellness notifications such as plan benefit information, wellness tips and news by texting “JOIN” to 242872.

    Care Quality and Survey Notifications 1 (833) 599-1829 – Subscribers can sign up to receive care quality and survey notifications by texting “JOIN” to 1 (833) 599-1829.

    Appointment Notifications 1 (855) 940-5777 – For certain programs, subscribers can sign up to receive appointment reminders for their scheduled visit. Subscribers can opt-in to receive appointment reminders each time they schedule an appointment or by texting “START” to 1 (855) 940-5777.

    Wellness Reminders 1 (562) 247-9172 – Subscribers can sign up to receive health and wellness reminders by texting “START” to 1 (562) 247-9172.

    To opt-in for text alerts, you must provide your own United States-based mobile phone number. Notify us immediately if your phone number changes. We are not liable for any transmission or communication of information by text that occurred because you did not report that your phone number changed. If your phone number changes ownership without your knowledge, notify us immediately when you become aware of the change. Your consent to use the number you’ve provided applies despite the number being listed on any national or state Do Not Call lists or registries.

    The messages we transmit via SMS are not encrypted. This means these messages may be visible to your mobile phone provider, an intercepting third-party, or whoever has access to your mobile phone. We are also unable to assure the integrity or validity of SMS messages or their contents, as SMS messages may be impersonated, tampered with, or lost in transit. By using these services, you acknowledge that these text messages will be sent in an unencrypted fashion to the mobile phone number you have provided, and that these messages may contain personal information and/or protected health information.

  • When you opt-in to the service

    When you opt-in to the service, we will send you a message to confirm your sign up. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency will vary based on your use. Text “HELP” for help. Text “STOP” to cancel.

  • You can cancel this service at any time

    You can cancel this service at any time by texting “STOP” to 242872 (to cancel Health Plan and Wellness Notifications), 1 (855) 940-5777 (to cancel Appointment Notifications), 1 (833) 599-1829 (to cancel Care Quality and Survey Notifications) or 1 (562) 247-9172 (to cancel Wellness Reminders). You understand and approve that replying STOP to one texting program will not opt you out of all programs that you are enrolled in. You must reply STOP to each texting program that you no longer want to be a part of. After you send the message “STOP" to us, we will send you a reply message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive messages from us relating to the program you have canceled.

    If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending messages to you again.

  • If at any time you forget what keywords are supported

    If at any time you forget what keywords are supported, just text "HELP" to 242872 (for the Health Plan and Wellness Notifications program), 1 (855) 940-5777 (for the Appointment Notifications program), 1 (833) 599-1829 (for the Care Quality and Survey Notifications program) or 1 (562) 247-9172 (for the Wellness Reminders Program). After you send the message "HELP" to us, we will respond with instructions on how to use our service as well as how to unsubscribe.

    AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, Virgin Mobile, Alaska Communications Systems (ACS), Appalachian Wireless (EKN), Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular One of East Central, IL (ECIT), Cellular One of Northeast Pennsylvania, Cricket, Coral Wireless (Mobi PCS), COX, Cross, Element Mobile (Flat Wireless), Epic Touch (Elkhart Telephone), GCI, Golden State, Hawkeye (Chat Mobility), Hawkeye (NW Missouri), Illinois Valley Cellular, Inland Cellular, iWireless (Iowa Wireless), Keystone Wireless (Immix Wireless/PC Man), Mosaic (Consolidated or CTC Telecom), Nex-Tech Wireless, NTelos, Panhandle Communications, Pioneer, Plateau (Texas RSA 3 Ltd), Revol, RINA, Simmetry (TMP Corporation), Thumb Cellular, Union Wireless, United Wireless, Viaero Wireless, and West Central (WCC or 5 Star Wireless).

    Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
